Hazo Hut at Centralia transfer station is open first, third Sat. of ea. month
Lewis County residents can drop off unwanted household chemicals, up to five gallons of used motor oil, and up to 10 burned out fluorescent light bulbs at Hazo Hut at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia, today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. These are the limits for each household each day that the Hazo Hut is open. This time is reserved for residential customers only. Business customers must make an appointment by calling 360-740-1221 or email swu@lewiscountywa.gov.

Repair & Sustainability Fair in Morton: The WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter (MRC) volunteers are teaming up with Centralia College East, the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility and others in the community to host a Repair & Sustainability Fair in Morton. Artist Sketch Rendered in Morton Remains Case
Detectives with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office have been provided with an artist’s sketch in which they hope will help them identify the human remains found near Morton in April of this year. The artist’s rendering was made by studying the facial bones of the deceased female as an indication of what she may have looked like before her death.
