  3. Tire Recycling Event at SWW Fairgrounds (10/26)

    Lewis County residents may recycle up to 12 tires per household for free during this three-day event, today through Saturday, in the south parking lot of the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds. Tires can be passenger or light truck tires, on or off the rim, or semi-truck tires off the rim. The event will not be able to accept any other type of tire.     Every year Lewis County Sheriff’s Office responds to preventable drowning deaths related to swimming and boating accidents. As warm weather approaches, the Sheriff’s Office wants to remind the public of a few safety precautions before taking a dip in the waterways of Lewis County.
