  3. Household Hazardous Waste Satellite Collection Fall Event: Winlock

    Satellite Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event: Residential customers may drop off their unwanted or left-over oil-based paint, cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and other household chemicals from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 8 at the old solid waste Winlock Drop Box, 1105 Winlock-Vader Road, between Winlock and Vader. Please be prepared to leaves your containers at the event. Workers don't have a place to empty them, and return them to customers at satellite events.   4. Leaf Exchange & Styrofoam Recycling Event

    Rake up and bag your leaves so gardeners and composters can put them to good use. Bagged leaves may be dropped off on the event day. Leaves will be available for pickup each day on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. You can also drop off your block and food-service Styrofoam during the event. Make sure the Styrofoam is clean, dry and free of tape. Put each type in clear plastic bags for drop-off. WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteers will be on hand to inspect material for drop off and to help the event run smoothly.

  8. Residents can bring in sensitive documents for shredding

    The LeMay Mobile Shredding truck will be at the WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter (MRC) Volunteers' Christmas Tree Recycling Event in the parking lot before you enter the Lewis County transfer station in Centralia at 1411 S. Tower Ave. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 3, 2026. Residential customers may bring up to 3 bags or boxes of sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. There is no charge for this service, but the MRC Volunteers are accepting donations to support their community education and outreach programs.   9. Household Hazardous Waste Satellite Collection Event: Morton

    Lewis County residents may drop off unwanted household chemicals and fluorescent lights from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at the East Lewis County Transfer Station in Morton as part of the Utility's Household Hazardous Waste Satellite Events. Other recycling opportunities at this event: Styrofoam recycling and E-Cycle Recycling. The event will accept block and food service Styrofoam as long it is clean, empty, dry. Please keep like materials together in a clear plastic bag for drop-off. For E-Cycle items (televisions smaller than 55 inches, CPUs, and monitors) there is a limit of two items per household.
