1. Lewis County transfer stations open on Memorial Day

    Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are open regular hours on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30. Centralia is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Morton is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please remember that both facilities close their gates 15 minutes before facility closure. The Administration Office at the Centralia site, however, is closed on Memorial Day. It will resume regular hours on Tuesday, May 31.

    Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are open regular hours on the state-observed Juneteenth holiday, Monday, June 20. Centralia is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Morton is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please remember that both facilities close their gates 15 minutes before facility closure. The Administration Office at the Centralia site, however, is closed on June 20. It will resume regular hours on Tuesday, June 21.

  3. Lewis County Transfer Stations Open on Labor Day

    Lewis County solid waste transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are open regular hours today. Centralia is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Morton is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Remember that both facilities close their inbound gates 15 minutes prior to site closure. The Solid Waste Utility Administration Office in Centralia is closed on all holidays. It will resume regular hours on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

  4. Household chemicals can go to Hazo Hut today

    Lewis County residents can drop off up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights at Hazo Hut at the transfer station in Centralia, 1411 S. Tower Ave. Unwanted household chemicals, excluding PaintCare items (Please visit PaintCare.org to learn more about PaintCare items and find out where to drop off PaintCare items locally, used motor oil and antifreeze, up to five gallons each, can also be dropped off at this time.
