INTERNSHIPS: The Lewis County Coroner's Office does accept students as interns as long as they are enrolled in a college or university that is accredited through the US Department of Education as well as the College for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). This office does not accept applications or inquiries directly from students. Students must go through their school internship or co-operative coordinator to apply for an internship. Solid Waste Utility staff provides year-round educational programs to the entire community. Transfer Station Tours Solid Waste Utility staff members are available to provide tours of the Centralia Transfer Station in Centralia. Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights today and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. The event concludes on Sunday! Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees.
