Lewis County Disposal District Schedules Public Hearing on Transfer Station Rate Increases on or after 2 p.m.
The Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District No. 1 will hold a public hearing on or after 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, in the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners' hearing room at the Lewis County Courthouse, 351 N.W. The public hearing is to receive public testimony on the proposal of the following rate increases for certain materials accepted at transfer stations operated by Lewis County. Fluorescent lights accepted at Hazo Hut today (9/25)
Lewis County residents can drop off unwanted household chemicals, up to five gallons of used motor oil, and up to 10 burned out fluorescent light bulbs at Hazo Hut at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia, today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

March Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day at Morton Transfer Station
Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 U.S. Hwy 12, just east of Morton. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are cleaners, lawn, garden, and pool chemicals.
