  6. June SWAC Meeting Canceled, Rescheduled

    Because of scheduling conflicts, the June 12 SWAC meeting has been canceled. The every-other-month meeting is rescheduled to 1 p.m. June 13 in the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility Division's conference room in the Administration Building at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia, WA 98531.

  7. Toledo Community Recycle Event Oct. 28

    You may recycle a variety of items at a Lewis County Solid Waste Utility Community Recycle Event 10 a.m. to 2p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at South County Park, 212 Ray Rd. in Toledo.There'll be household hazardous waste and yard waste collection, electronics, scrap metal, tires and glass recycling, along with sensitive document shredding ( 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.).

  8. Sensitive Document Shredding Event (Vader)

    The Lewis County Solid Waste Utility is partnering with the City of Vader to offer Lewis County residents a chance to have their sensitive documents shredded, and then recycled. The event will take place at the City of Vader Public Works Shop at 376 7th St. Each customer may bring up to 3 Bags or Boxes of sensitive documents they would like shredded. The documents are shredded in the truck, and then hauled to a paper recycling facility.

  9. Hazo Hut at transfer station in Centralia open today (1/6)

    Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are up to five gallons of used motor oil, antifreeze, cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights.
