Get your Christmas trees and lights dropped off for recycling
Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. The event will continue for the next two weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees. Donations will be accepted to support WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteer community outreach programs. Flocked and artificial trees will not be accepted. Notice of a Hearing before the Board of Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District No. 1, for Resolution No. 005-12, Whereas, RCW 36.58.130 authorizes a Solid Waste Disposal District to collect fees necessary to pay for the handling and disposal of solid waste.
