Lewis County Public Health and Social Services and The Centralia Prevention Coalition offers a Parenting Preteens Together Series
The Centralia Prevention Coalition is hosting two upcoming Parenting Preteens Together Series for parents of kids ages 9-14. You're invited 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 or Nov. 16, or Jan. 11 and Feb. 8, 2024 at Centralia High School. Everyone is welcome and there is no cost to attend. The series is all about bringing parents together to learn from each other and is designed to support parents in setting family rules.

Earth Day 2022: Sensitive Document Shredding & Styrofoam Recycling!
*Sensitive Document Shredding: Residential customers may bring up to three bags or boxes of documents they would like shredded, and then recycled. This event will take place in the parking lot before you enter the Lewis County Central Transfer Station in Centralia. Tools, Treasures, Treats & Cider!
Plan to attend Tools, Treasures, Treats & Cider, the second day of the Master Recycler Composters of Lewis County's first tool and bake sale to raise money to support the new MRC Tool Bucket Library from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Floral Park Sustainability Park, 103 E. Floral St., Centralia. This second day of the sale will feature a cider press where members of the public are invited to bring their own apples and containers. Final Day for Comments on the Lewis County Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Plan draft update
Today is the last day to submit comments on the draft 2023 Lewis County Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Plan! This plan includes strategies to manage waste in the county over the next 20 years with more in-depth focus on the next six years. Lewis County Department of Public Works Solid Waste Utility has been working with the Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) and the consulting firm Herrera Environmental to update the document.
