Get your Christmas trees and lights dropped off for recycling
Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. The event will continue for the next two weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees. Donations will be accepted to support WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteer community outreach programs. Flocked and artificial trees will not be accepted. No Longer Processing Property Transfers After 4pm
Effective October 1, 2019, the Lewis County Treasurer’s Office is modifying our hours for the processing of property transfers. While our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 – 4:30, we will no longer process property transfers after 4:00 p.m.The change in hours will ensure the ability of the Treasurer’s Office to thoroughly review and process real estate transactions and to secure sufficient time to record the documents prior to the Auditor’s Office closing time of 4:30 p.m.Our office will remain open until 4:30 p.m. to process all other transactions.We understand that this may cause some frustration for those …
