Hazo Hut Is Open Today (6/12)
Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights. Lewis County Transfer Stations are Closed on Juneteenth Holiday
Lewis County Transfer Stations in Centralia and Morton are closed today in observance of the Juneteenth Holiday. This closure includes the Hazo Hut and Administration Office in Centralia. The transfer stations and Administration Office will resume regular hours on Thursday, June 20. The Hazo Hut will again be open on June 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Title III Funding
The public is invited to submit applications for Title III projects designed to improve National Forest lands and the rural economies of Lewis County. Lewis County residents may recycle up to 15 passenger or light truck tires on or off the rim from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 20 and May 21 at a special community recycling event at the Bob Lyle Community Center, 700 Main St., Morton, WA 98356. The event is for residential customers only. Please do not bring tires from business customers, semi-truck tires or heavy equipment tires. Household chemicals can be dropped off in Centralia
Lewis County residents can drop off unwanted household chemicals, up to five gallons of used motor oil, and up to 10 burned out fluorescent light bulbs at Hazo Hut at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia, today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. These are the limits for each household each day that the Hazo Hut is open.
