K-9 Narcotics Sniff Leads to Arrest
On 06-01-2024, at approximately 9:21 p.m., deputies with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of State Route 505, Winlock. Deputy Kasinger and his K-9 partner Kimbo were requested to respond to the scene for a narcotics sniff, and upon being deployed K-9 Kimbo alerted on the vehicle. A search warrant was applied for and granted, resulting in the recovery of over 41 grams of methamphetamine and a meth pipe. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody. Lewis County residents may recycle up to 15 passenger or light truck tires on or off the rim from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 5 and May 6 at a special community recycling event at the Winlock Public Works Department, 712 NW Dexter Ave. The event is for residential customers only. Please do not bring tires from business customers, semi-truck tires or heavy equipment tires. Be prepared to show identification, and to unload your own tires.
