2022 Noxious Weed Conference
The majority of your Noxious Weed Control staff will be out of the office from Tuesday November 1st to Friday November 4th to attend the annual Noxious Weed Conference in Wenatchee WA. This is a great opportunity for us to learn, engage, network and maintain our pesticide licenses.We will have our seasonal personnel in the office (attending the conference virtually) in case anyone needs to stop by for native seeds or to borrow a weed wrench.If you are interested in more information about the conference please see their website here. South County Recycle Event
Lewis County residents will have the opportunity to drop off up to 12 passenger and light truck tires per household, and up to two of the following items per household: computers, televisions under 42 inches, and CPUs. This event is being offered on a first-come, first-served basis as long as there is room left in containers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 9, at the old Winlock Solid Waste Drop Box, 1105 Winlock-Vader Road. Tire Recycling in Packwood
Lewis County residents may recycle up to 12 tires per household for free during this two-day event, today and Oct. 14, at the Packwood Community Hall. Tires can be passenger or light truck tires, on or off the rim, or semi-truck tires off the rim. The event will not be able to accept any other type of tire. Customers should be prepared to show proof of Lewis County residency. They will also be expected to unload their own tires. Drop Off Christmas Trees and Unwanted Holiday Lights
Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees. Donations will be accepted to support WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteer community outreach programs.
