  7. K-9 Narcotics Sniff Leads to Arrest

    On 06-01-2024, at approximately 9:21 p.m., deputies with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of State Route 505, Winlock. Deputy Kasinger and his K-9 partner Kimbo were requested to respond to the scene for a narcotics sniff, and upon being deployed K-9 Kimbo alerted on the vehicle. A search warrant was applied for and granted, resulting in the recovery of over 41 grams of methamphetamine and a meth pipe. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody.     Rake up and bag your leaves so gardeners and composters can put them to good use. Bagged leaves may be dropped off on the event day. Leaves will be available for pickup each day on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. You can also drop off your block and food-service Styrofoam during the event. Make sure the Styrofoam is clean, dry and free of tape. Put each type in clear plastic bags for drop-off. WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteers will be on hand to inspect material for drop off and to help the event run smoothly.
