The Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) is a federal law that prohibits and seeks to eliminate sexual assaults and sexual misconduct in correctional institutions and community corrections settings. Lewis County Juvenile Court is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for youth. We have adopted a zero tolerance policy pertaining to any form of sexual misconduct and sexual harassment of youth. Spring Youth Fair is on at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds May 5-7
Lewis County and its Southwest Washington fairgrounds staff are happy to announce that the talents and knowledge of local youth will be showcased at the annual Spring Youth Fair, May 5-7 at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds.“We expect hundreds of kids, from Lewis County and as far away as Eastern Washington and Oregon, to show fairgoers the activities they’re involved in,” said youth fair co-founder Lee Coumbs of Centralia.

Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 U.S. Hwy 12, just east of Morton. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are cleaners, lawn, garden, and pool chemicals. Commissioners seek volunteer to serve on Randle's Water District 1
The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is looking for a volunteer to serve on Water District 1, which covers portions of Randle.Water District 1 is a special purpose district created in 1956 to manage and provide water-related services within portions of Randle. Its service area includes McKay Street, Silverbrook Road, Boyd Road, U.S. Highway 12, Lewis Street, Chilcoat Avenue, Coleman Hill Road and State Route 131.
