Basic Composting Class
WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteers are hosting a Basic Home Composting Workshop at Centralia College East in Morton as part of the Repair & Sustainability Fair at 11 a.m. on March 22. Learn how to convert organic materials from your yard, garden, and kitchen into nutrient rich compost to improve your soil, promote healthy plants, and reduce pesky pests! Participants who are interested can enter their names into a drawing for a free compost bin. This event is free to the public. Support for this workshop is provided in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology.

Personal Property Personal property's primary characteristic is its mobility. It includes machinery, equipment and furniture associated with commercial, industrial or agricultural enterprises. Business inventories are exempt from property tax.Everyone who uses personal property in a business must complete a personal property affidavit by April 30 each year per RCW 84.40.185, RCW 84.40.190, and WAC 458-12-060. The Lewis County Auditor's Office has provided online access to most of its records since October of 2010. Click here to search the database. Drop off sensitive documents at Community Recycle Event
The LeMay Mobile Shredding Truck will be at the Community Recycle Event at the Lewis County Road Shop, 111 Pleasant Valley Road, Winlock, WA 98596, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 10. Customers may bring up to 3 grocery bags or boxes of sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. The shredded paper will be recycled after the event.

ArcGIS Noxious Weeds Map Click on the map icon to the left to view. In 2022, your noxious weed control team began recording noxious weed infestations on iForm to be displayed on this map. Although many infestations noted this year have not yet been uploaded, in addition to missing most historical records, we believe this is a great start to a more manageable and efficient tracking system.
