  5. Chips for Trails Event in Vader

    The City of Vader is hosting its annual Chips for Trails Event at McMurphy Park on Annonen Road from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 19. Lewis County residents can drop off chippable branches and limbs that are no larger than 6 inches in diameter. This material will be chipped to spread on park trails.     Lewis County residents may recycle up to 12 tires per household for free during this three-day event, today through Saturday, in the south parking lot of the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds. Tires can be passenger or light truck tires, on or off the rim, or semi-truck tires off the rim. The event will not be able to accept any other type of tire.
