    What types of oils can be recycled as used motor oil? Motor oil is only accepted for recycling at the Central Transfer Station in Centralia on days that the Hazo Hut is open to the public.     Satellite Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event: At the old Meskill Drop Box, 3127 State Route 6, west of Chehalis, near Doty. Residential customers may drop off their unwanted or leftover cleaners, aerosol cans, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and other household chemicals. Please be prepared to leave your containers at the event. Workers don't have a place to empty them, and return them to customers at satellite events. Limits for these events are 5 gallons motor oil, 5 gallons antifreeze, 5 gallons cooking oil, and no containers larger than 5 gallons.   10. Sheriff's Office Unveils New Program

    Sheriff Steve Mansfield will be starting a new program at the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office that he hopes will slow down a growing crime trend in Lewis County. The program, “Prevent Crime – Lock Your Doors Every Time,” begins next week. Sheriff Mansfield said, “Recently we have had numerous problems with vehicle prowls in our county. My office has developed an innovative program to help address vehicle prowls and thefts.
