Lewis County Transfer Stations are open on Nov. 26
Lewis County Transfer Stations in Centralia and Morton will be open regular hours on Nov. 26, the Friday after Thanksgiving. Centralia will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Morton will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Inbound gates for both sites close 15 minutes prior to facility closure.The Administration Office at the Centralia site, however, will be closed on Nov. 26. Staff will return to the office on Monday, Nov. 26.

Chips for Trails at McMurphy Park
Lewis County residents are invited to bring their chippable wood debris to McMurphy Park off Annonen Road in Vader between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. April 30. Examples of acceptable items are chippable branches and small trees. These items will be ground up, then volunteers will spread the chips on trails in the park.

Open Space Act
RCW 84.34Land owners who wish current use assessment for property tax purposes on lands eligible for classification under the Open Space program, must submit an application to the Lewis County Assessor's Office by December 31st. Applications taken in the calendar year prior to December 31st are inspected in the next year and either approved or denied. If the application is approved, it is taxed in the subsequent year. The LEOFF Disability Board was created pursuant to RCW 41.26.110 to establish uniform methods of procedure for the conduct of the business as established by state law.
