Pursuant to RCW 36.58.100 et seq., the Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District (LCSWDD) No. 1, a quasi-municipal corporation, was established by Ordinance 1124 (now LCC 8.15.150) in 1992, after Lewis County and all incorporated cities signed an interlocal agreement to form it. In addition to forming the district, the agreement established flow control, directing all solid waste generated in Lewis County to be disposed of at LCSWDD sites. Representatives from the cities and the County serve as the Executive Advisory Committee to the Disposal District Commissioners, who by statute are the Lewis County Commissioners. Commissioners seek volunteer to serve on Randle's Water District 1
The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is looking for a volunteer to serve on Water District 1, which covers portions of Randle.Water District 1 is a special purpose district created in 1956 to manage and provide water-related services within portions of Randle. Its service area includes McKay Street, Silverbrook Road, Boyd Road, U.S. Highway 12, Lewis Street, Chilcoat Avenue, Coleman Hill Road and State Route 131. The Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board currently has an expiration of term of office on its five-member board. The vacancy occurs in: Weed District 1 which includes the communities of: Adna, Curtis, Boistfort, Dryad & Pe Ell. The application period for Fiscal Year 2013 has closed. The Board of County Commissioners is currently accepting applications for use of hotel/motel lodging tax funds for the 2013 budget year from organizations whose programs or activities promote tourism in the unincorporated Lewis County area. “Tourism Promotion” is defined as “activities designed to increase tourism, including but not limited to advertising, publicizing, or otherwise distributing information for the purpose of attracting and welcoming tourists; and funding the marketing of special events designed to attract tourists.” These funds may no longer be used for the administrative costs of running an agency as …
