Little Miss Friendly finalists are guests of Lewis County Commissioners

CHEHALIS – The finalists for the 2023 Little Miss Friendly competition were guests of the Lewis County Commissioners Tuesday, Aug. 8, during the commissioners’ weekly legislative meeting.

Little Miss Friendly is the official hostess and “living logo” of the Southwest Washington Fair and will represent the fair at many events, parades, and activities throughout the coming year.

Commissioners Sean Swope, Lindsey Pollock and Scott Brummer listened to the girls share their interest in being the new Little Miss Friendly and more:

  • 10-year old Clara Hansen of Centralia: “I want to be Little Miss Friendly because, for one, I get free rides at the fair and my summer is full.”
  • 9-year-old Emma Elder of Chehalis: “I really want to be in a parade and make people happy, and if I’m Little Miss Friendly I can do that a lot easier.”
  • 10-year-old Riot Anderson of Chehalis: “It would be fun to be Little Miss Friendly because I like to make new friends and I want to make sure everybody is accepted, and because I’m friendly.”
  • 10-year old Aria Hoffman of Centralia: “I want to be Little Miss Friendly to get out of the house; my favorite ice cream is just vanilla, and my favorite animal is foxes.”
  • 8-year-old Kimber Serl of Chehalis : “I love smiling and I like to make people smile, and to be nice to others.”

The 2023 Little Miss Friendly will receive her cape on the Saloon Stage at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, the opening day of the Southwest Washington Fair.
