A button fell off of your shirt, there’s a rip in your favorite jeans, or your small appliance stopped working. Don’t toss it – repair it! Volunteer “fixers” will be on hand at the inaugural Lewis County Repair and Sustainability Fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 22 at the Centralia College SWFT Center, Room 108, 807 W. Pear St. in Centralia.

Determining what to place in your curbside recycling container and what goes in the garbage will soon become easier for you, thanks to a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology (DOE).
Beginning Monday, Apr. 17, a cart-tagging project will educate recycling customers in Lewis County in an effort to reduce the amount of garbage that goes into curbside recycling bins.
