Washington State Garlic Festival @ the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds through Aug. 27

There is no such thing as a little garlic at the Washington State Garlic Festival, happening now through Sunday, Aug. 27 at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds.

A large inflatable garlic arch welcomes you to explore varieties of locally grown garlic and just about any garlic food you can image.

Lee and Bonnie Coumbs of Lee’s Magnificent Garlic in Centralia donate all proceeds from this weekend’s festival to Lewis County Work Opportunities. Last year, an estimated $4,000 worth of locally grown garlic was sold. Since 1971 the Chehalis organization has been assisting adults with disabilities obtain employment opportunities in our community.

The Garlic Festival is open 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.
