Veterans needed to join Lewis County Veterans Advisory Board
CHEHALIS – Lewis County Public Health and Social Services is seeking Lewis County veterans interested in participating as a member of the Veterans Advisory Board (VAB). The board makes recommendations to the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) on the use of a veterans relief fund which supports indigent Lewis County veterans and their families with financial resources, shelter, food, utilities and transportation.
Interested veterans are asked to fill out an application which can be found by visiting the “BOCC News” section at the bottom of the commissioners’ web page at https://lewiscountywa.gov/offices/commissioners/ or by visiting Lewis County Public Health and Social Services. Submit your application in person to Lewis County Veterans Service Officer Heidi Palmer at the Lewis County Public Health & Social Services building, 3rd floor, 360 NW North St. in Chehalis.
Applications are due by Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023.
The Veterans Advisory Board meets the first Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of the Lewis County Public Health and Social Services building. All Veterans Advisory Board meetings are open to the public, and the BOCC encourages all citizens to participate.
