County seeks applicants to fill vacancies on Fair Advisory Commission, PFD

The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is accepting applications from individuals interested in filling vacancies on two boards: the Southwest Washington Fair Advisory Commission and the Lewis County Public Facilities District (PFD).

The Fair Advisory Commission provides feedback and guidance regarding the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds to the Fair Manager, who reports to the BOCC. The Fair Advisory Commission meets in Chehalis at 5 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month, and the term for its vacant seat expires Oct. 8, 2021.

The PFD formed in August 2007 to help create the Lewis County Event Center and Sports Complex in Centralia. It includes five voting members and one ex-officio (non-voting) member. The PFD meets in Chehalis at 10 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month, and the term for its vacant seat expires June 1, 2022.

To apply for either board, please submit an application and a letter of interest to Rieva Lester, Clerk of the Board, by mail at 351 N.W. North St., Chehalis, WA 98532, or via email (attn.: Rieva Lester) at BOCC@LewisCountywa.gov. Applications are due by 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019.
