OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE ON LEWIS COUNTY NOXIOUS WEED CONTROL BOARD

The Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board currently has an expiration of term of office on its five-member board. The vacancies occur in: Weed District 2 which includes the communities of: Galvin, Centralia, & Chehalis; and District 3 which includes the communities of: Napavine, Winlock, Toledo and Vader.

The Board positions are four-year terms that shall be filled by a person engaged in agricultural practices. Noxious Weed Control Board positions are non-paid, volunteer positions. Meetings are held as determined by the Board. Duties of the Board include adoption of the County Weed List and providing direction for Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board programs.

Persons interested in appointment to the Board shall make a written application that includes the signature of at least ten registered voters also residing within the district for which the applicant is seeking appointment. Applications will be accepted until Monday, March 23, 2020, and can be submitted to the Lewis County Weed Control Board Office.
