Lewis County Weed Board Meeting and Public Hearing for Adoption of 2021 Lewis County Weed List
The Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board will be meeting on February 9, 2021 at 4:00pm to adopt the 2021 Lewis County Noxious Weed list and its Rules and Regulations for the Weed Board, public participation is encouraged.
Once a year, following the State Weed Board's adoption of the State Noxious Weed List, the Lewis County Weed Board reviews the changes in the state list, holds a public hearing, and adopts the Lewis County Noxious Weed List. The noxious weed list reflects both the requirements of State Law to regulate certain species with statewide or regional importance, and the priorities of Lewis County to reduce the impact of noxious weeds on the people, economy, and environment of Lewis County.
The Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board will be adopting the 2021 noxious weed list in order to set the priority level of noxious weeds in Lewis County, as directed by the state noxious weed law. the additions/changes made to the 2021 Washington State Noxious Weed List and will review and consider the listing of Class B and C select noxious weeds for the County List.
The meeting and hearing will be held at the Chehalis Historic Courthouse, in the lower level meeting room #003. Public participation is welcome and encouraged.
