Lewis County Public Health Water Laboratory Reopening

We are pleased to announce that the Lewis County Public Health Water Laboratory will reopen Monday November 15, 2021, following closure due to plumbing-related water damage.

Sample bottles are now available for pick up on the third floor of the Public Health building at 360 NW North Street in Chehalis.

Bacteria samples are accepted Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Nitrate samples are accepted Mondays and Tuesdays 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The office is closed for lunch from 11:30 am-12:30 pm.

Those on the East end of the county may also drop their water samples off on the first Monday of the month before 9:30 am at one of the locations noted below. If that falls on a holiday, the pickup will be the following Monday.

Please see below for alternate holiday-related operating hours.

No raws (surface water samples) can be accepted the week of a holiday closure.

In addition, please mark the following dates on your calendar:

Tuesday, November 23, 2021 Samples accepted until 2:00 pm.

Wednesday, November 24, 2021 No coliform samples accepted.

Thursday, November 25th, 2021 Closed, Thanksgiving Day

Friday, November 26, 2021 Closed, Thanksgiving Holiday

Friday, December 24, 2021 Closed, Christmas Holiday

Friday, December 31, 2021 Closed, New Year’s Day (observed)
