Lewis County Law Enforcement Conducting Increased DUI Patrols for the Holiday Season.

Beginning this week the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, and other law enforcement partners countywide, will participate in increased DUI patrols for this holiday season in support of Target Zero.  These patrols will be facilitated utilizing funds from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission awarded for traffic safety emphasis patrols.

“We are asking the public to drive responsibly, and have a safe holiday season.  We have seen an increase in DUI’s this year, and we are committed in doing our part to keep our communities safe as we celebrate the holidays with our friends and families,” said Sheriff Robert Snaza.

While the primary focus is for DUI patrols, law enforcement will also focus on distracted driving, seat belt usage, and other related traffic safety violations. To report possible violations call 9-1-1 or Lewis County Communications at (360) 740-1105.
