South Lewis County Subarea Transportation Plan

In 2008 Lewis County Public Works engaged in a collaborative process to guide the future of the SR 505 corridor and county roads in the Toledo-Winlock area of South Lewis County. The resulting transportation plan will be the Transportation Element of the South Lewis County Sub Area Plan. View Vicinity Map

The South Lewis County Subarea Transportation Plan (SLCSTP) will help Lewis County and its partners in their effort to address the potential effects of additional growth in the area. The process seeks to create a plan that will:
-promote safety and efficiency;
-provide transparency and predictability for corridor improvements;
-provide guidance for residential, commercial, and industrial usage; and
-connect infrastructure development with the potential for economic development.

The planning process involves gathering information about existing conditions and forecasting future conditions in the plan area. This information will be used to create alternatives and mitigation models for proposed modifications. These alternatives will be considered for support by all project partners. Agreement among the partners will result in a Memorandum of Understanding.
