What types of oils can be recycled as used motor oil?
The following oils can be recycled as used motor oil:
- Engine oil
- Transmission fluid
- Hydraulic fluid
- Power steering fluid
- Gear oil
- Kerosene
- Diesel fuel
Absolutely none of the following fluids in the used motor oil tank:
- Brake fluid
- Gasoline
- Antifreeze
- Solvents or degreasers
- Thinners or paints
- Cooking oil or grease
- Other flammable liquids and oil

Please take your empty containers with you.
You can leave oil filters on the tank for recycling.
Do not leave other hazardous waste such as antifreeze, paint, thinners and solvents. Call 360-740-1221 for help with disposal.
If the tank is full, do not leave your full containers. Call 360-740-1221 and Solid Waste Services will have the tank pumped. Use a different site. The tank will be pumped within two weeks.
