What services does the Public Health Department offer?

The Public Health Department is divided into four divisions:  1) Public Health offers birth certificates for people born in Washington, death certificates on people who have passed within the last 2 months in Lewis County, WIC program, Veterans Relief Fund, immunizations, and prevention/assessment and preparedness.

2) Environmental Health offers water testing, food permits, temporary food permits, onsite sewage inspection and solid/hazardous waste inspections, and code enforcement.

3) Social Services offers housing programs, developmental disabilities support, mental health education, and chemical dependency education.

4) Animal Shelter offers animals for adoption.
