NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Auction of Surplus County Property for items declared surplus, will be held at 8:00 AM, March 4 and 5, 2010, at Ritchie Brothers, 13232 Case Rd SW, Olympia, WA 98512. Items may be previewed Friday thru Thursday beginning February 26, 2010 from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Items will be sold as is – where is to the highest bidder. Washington State sales tax is applicable. A complete list of surplus items is available from the Lewis County Department of Public Works, Fleet Division: 476 W. Main St., Chehalis, WA 98532.

Free Christmas Tree and Wreathe Recycling

The Lewis County Solid Waste Utility and the Master Gardener and Master Recycler Composter programs are sponsoring a free Christmas tree and wreathe collection event.

Please remove all decorations, tinsel, and wires.

Flocked or artificial trees will not be accepted.

Trees from commercial operations will not be accepted.

Donations will be accepted to support the Master Gardener and Master Recycler Composter programs.

The event details are as follows:

Location: Central Transfer Station; 1411 South Tower Avenue, Centralia
Dates: December 26 to January 8, 2010
Hours: 9:00 A.M. to 4 P.M. daily

Packwood Drop Box Closes

Lewis County will permanently close the Packwood Drop Box on Sept 26, 2009 at 4:00 P.M.

Sept 26 is the final day for customers to dispose of garbage at this site. Regular rates will be charged.

Questions can be directed to the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility at 360-740-1451.
