Juvenile Court FAQ

Parents and/or legal guardians may bring their child court approved paper back books.  Hard back books, magazines, or newspapers are not allowed. You may also bring your child a new unopened tube of chapstick. These items must be given to detention staff for approval, before giving them to your child.

No other personal items are allowed, due to security purposes.

Parents and/or legal guardians. Counselors and ministers must be approved by the Shift Leader. Police officers and legal counsel may visit whenever necessary.

No exceptions to the above visitation policy may be made unless authorized by the Assistant Administrator or their designee.

All incoming and outgoing letters must go through the US Postal Service.

Juveniles are allowed to write two (2) letters per week, unless parents provide additional stamps.

No, we are the brick building in front of Green Hill School.  Juvenile Court is a division of Lewis County Superior Court and Green Hill School is a JRA institution.
