Food Safety Program
The Food Worker Class is now available online!!
If you are interested in opening a food establishment, please contact (360) 740-1222 to set up an appointment with a Health Inspector. He/she will review the application packet with you and answer any questions you may have about the process. Our office is located on the 3rd floor of the Public Health Building, 360 NW North Street in Chehalis.
A Food Service Policy & Procedures has been recently established to define types of foods and establishments, risk categories, and general inspection procedures to help educate the public.
We will review, and if necessary discuss with you, the plans while you obtain approvals from the other offices listed in the packet. Our plan review and permit fees are listed on the fee schedule. Information regarding other agencies’ fees may be obtained when you contact them.
