The CMZ public hearing scheduled for August 11 in Packwood has been canceled. A series of public meetings and Town Hall meetings will be scheduled with dates and times to be announced. Please monitor this site for information

Burn Restrictions in Lewis County

The below burn restriction has been lifted as of October 1st, 2009.

Effective 12:01 A.M., July 7, 2009, the Washington Department of Natural Resources (WADNR) in cooperation with officials from Lewis County, will be enacting restrictions on all outdoor burning. As of July 10, all land clearing, residential and silvicultural burning are banned until further notice. This burn ban does not extend to federally managed lands.
