Our Mission

The Lewis County Clerk serves as the official record keeper for the Superior Court. It is our mission to serve the courts and the citizens of Lewis County in a manner best suited to provide quality, efficient, and effective service. We believe the public has a right to employees who embody the highest standards of excellence, integrity, and fairness.

About the Clerk

The County Clerk is one of several independent, elected officials provided by the Washington State Constitution (Article IV, Sec 26), with specific and special duties assigned by statute, as well as local and state court rules. The position of County Clerk is best characterized as the administrative and financial officer of the Superior Court.

Kathy Brack was first elected to serve as Lewis County Clerk in 2003. She is a life-long Washingtonian and has been a resident of Lewis County for 45 years. She is an active member of Chehalis Rotary. She also serves on the Board of Directors of both Salvation Army and Lewis County Bar Legal Aid.
