Features Overview
- Redesigned Website
The complete redesign of the Lewis County website aims to be clean, professional, and structurally intuitive. Also, a focus on consistency was made throughout all county applications and department pages. - Home Page
The new county main home page is built to be dynamic and relevant to any given season. Prominent county events and announcements will be easily communicated through the use of the new scrolling banner. The most visited services, pages and downloads will be thoroughly represented for easy access. - New Global Search Functionality
Enables users to quickly find what they are looking for. The Global Search feature also offers real time results and suggestions as the user types in their query. Also, this feature is accessible on any page of the website as it is located in the upper right of the main site header. - Redesigned Navigation Structure
The newly structured navigation bar makes it easy for users to find what they are looking for. Intuitively, the user can follow the navigation heading that best relates to them, instead of hunting through the complex county department structure. - Subscribe to Department Blogs with RSS
Each county department now has a blog where they can push out important updates and news. You can subscribe with your RSS reader to any county blog simply by visiting the preferred blog and following the orange RSS link to subscribe. What is RSS? - Contacting the County
A new emphasis has been put on allowing users to find contact information easily. Each department will feature a quick phone number contact box in the upper left corner of the page, as well as the option to view the current address for that department. Also, a new county master phone list has been designed for an archive of all phone numbers and addresses for every department. The 'Contact Us' option in the main navigation bar will enable a user to quickly send the county an email inquiry. - Maps
By visiting the 'Contact Us' option in the main navigation bar, a user will be able to have quick access to a Google map within any county department page. - Redesigned County Applications
Many of the post popular county online services have been completely redesigned and easier to use including Small Works Roster, Call for Bids, and Burn Permit among others.
