The Lewis County Auditor's Office now offers the ability for brides and grooms to begin the marriage application process from the comfort of their homes. By clicking on the link below, applicants will be able to fill in the necessary information for the marriage application and certificate.
After completely filling in all fields and pressing submit, the applicants will be given a marriage application number to bring with them to the Auditor's Office. Applicants will need to bring the number, valid government issued I.D., and cash or check for $66.00.
The Auditor's Office processes the licenses Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The license has a three day waiting period and is valid for 60 days.
THE 3 DAY WAITING PERIOD DOES NOT BEGIN UNTIL THE APPLICANTS BRING PHOTO I.D. TO THE AUDITOR'S OFFICE AND PAY THE FEE TO FINALIZE THE APPLICATION.
