DOL WILL NOT MAIL BOAT RENEWAL NOTICES - Posted at: 4/16/2010 10:43:47 AM
In an effort to save an estimated $150,000 per year, Dept. of Licensing will no longer mail annual renewal notices to boat owners. Unlike vehicle registrations which have renewal dates throughout the year, all vessel registrations expire on June 30th of each year.
As with vehicle registrations, vessel registrations may be renewed online. Click here to renew your vessel registration online. If boat owners renew their registration in person, they will need to write down the WN number from the bow of their boat and present that to the clerk along with their Washington State I.D.
DOL will provide e-mail renewal notices for those interested in signing up on their website:http://www.dol.wa.gov
